On September, 18 1502, Christopher Columbus anchored offshore near present day Puerto Limón, Costa Rica. A lot has changed since then. Costa Rica is in all likelihood the #1 visited tourist country in Central America. Why? Because Costa Rica goes out of the way to protect it is natural beauty and resources. Both present and future generations (meaning you) may experience portions of a natural surroundings similar to what Columbus saw hundreds of years ago. Costa Rica has become something of a South American “Mecca” for tourists. Which might explain why Hollywood stars such as Bran Pitt and Angelina Jolie love spending time there. A few real estate investors refer to it as “the Switzerland of Central America” because of it is political stability and native beauty. The high standard of living enjoyed by numerous who retire here from dissimilar constituents of the world — called “expats” a.k.a. “expatriates”– is very beautiful too. But most of the activenesses you’ll want to take delight in in Costa Rica (listed in the pages of my free ebook) will in some manner immerse you within the natural beauty of this country and it is people. Costa Rica is world widely known and esteemed for it is active volcanoes, rain forests, cloud forests, waterfalls, wildlife, spectacular views, temperate weather and friendly people. Hundreds of thousands of visitors come to Costa Rica each year because of one main reason: even though this country covers just .03% of the earth’s surface … it features closely 6% of the planet’s biodiversity. Costa Rica invites you to come, see, and experience it is ecosystem. All it asks in return is that you don’t injure it is natural wonders in any way … so future generations may take pleasure in them. Ahhhh … Costa Rica’s Natural Wonders. How does one even get started to list them? Take butterflies, for example. There are more species of butterflies in Costa Rica than there are on the entire continent of Africa. Or, how with regards to birds? There are over 850 species of birds — more than in all of North America. Costa Rica has 112 volcanoes … 7 of them are active (with the widely known and esteemed Arenal being the most active). Arenal is likewise the most standard attraction amid all of Costa Rica’s tourist sites. And that’s just where it starts … – 1,200 types of orchids – 4,000 sorts of insects – 160 species of amphibians – 130 kinds of freshwater fish – 220 array of reptiles – 9,000 types of plants – 1,600 kinds of salt water fish – 208 mammal species – Volcanoes (active and dormant) – Cloud forests – Rain Forests – Wetlands and Swamps – Mangrove trees – 850 species of birds
– 1,000 species of butterflies Sound exciting? The best time to visit Costa Rica is genuinely when it’s “summertime” in North America. Why? Because June, July and August fall into Costa Rica’s “green” (i.e. rainy) season. Prices are much lower than December thru May … when most travelers visit the country. But what in regards to the rain? Don’t worry regarding it. It commonly only rains for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Morning are ordinarily sunny. And most evenings are clear, warm … and romantic. So rather of visiting the same old summer vacation spots in North America — experience a world-class vacation in an exotic destination like Costa Rica this summer.
